Updated: Jun 18, 2020

We believe in providing the state of the art & globally used technology solutions for Digital Displays in your premises.

We have been rewarded with the most prestigious projects of SURAT because of our technical knowhow about how to use the most advanced tools of content management system developed by Samsung & LG.

We did one of the largest display solution projects in collaboration with SAMSUNG at Globale Textile Market of SNS Group in Surat. 4 qty of 3x3 videowalls of 10x6 sqft, 4 qty of 85-inch screens, and 70 qty of 49-inch screens. All these screens are centrally operated using the most advanced Content Management System - MagicInfo Premium. We will talk about the same in another blog of mine.

Today I have signed into my website to write about LG SuperSign CMS and SuperSign Media Editor.

Recently with God's grace, we got the opportunity to install LG's most advanced videowall with system-on-chip (SOC) at RAJHANS Empire which is the corporate office of Rajhans - Desai Jain Group of Surat.

Let me jot down my experience of using LG SuperSign CMS along with LG SuperSign Media Editor in order to operate the videowall installed in the reception area of Rajhans Empire located on Surat-Dumas Road just ahead of Hotel Le Meridien (previously TGB).

Model: LG 49VM5C - 49 inch panel - 1.8 mm bezel to bezel

Matrix: 3 x 3

I am not mentioning the steps of installation of LG SuperSign CMS & LG SuperSign Media Editor here because that is a completely different process and definitely needs a separate detailed write up for "How to".

Step 1: Crop your content into 3x3 = 9 tiles

Here you have to use LG SuperSign Media Editor

  • Make a folder to keep your full video or image files. Call it "Videowall Content"

  • Make another folder to save your cropped 9 files for 9 tiles which will be after completing the next steps. Call it "Videowall Crop"

  • Launch LG SuperSign Media Editor

  • Defining the LAYOUT

  • Drag and drop "Create New Template"

  • Enter the number of rows and columns. For this case, 3 rows and 3 columns.

  • Select the Model of the videowall panel. For this case, LG 49VM5C

  • Click Next to select the content to be cropped.

  • You will have to select the folder which contains your video or image files to import the content from there.

  • Drag and drop the file in the blank space apart from the 3x3 videowall layout available.

  • After the above step is completed, drag and place the content file exactly in the videowoall layout matching the borders. It is crucial to have the content size in 16:9 ratio. FHD = Full HD = 2K = 1920 x 1080 | UHD = Ultra HD = 4K = 3840 x 2160

  • Click next and ensure to have Auto Crop and Auto Upload checked.

  • The cropping is a time-consuming process. Larger the file, the longer will be the time.

  • Once the cropping is completed, it will create 9 files for the 9 tiles for a 3x3 videowall.

  • The LG SuperSign CMS will automatically get these files. They will appear in the media list.

Step 2: Using LG SuperSign CMS to publish content on the videowall

  • After doing the above steps successfully, you will be able to find the 9 cropped files with sequential numbering as shown in the below image in the CONTENT section of LG SuperSign CMS.

  • Generally, if you are starting for the first time then there will be no option appearing here,

  • Once you create one Videowall content then it will display as shown below.

  • Click on the same to edit it. (In edit mode, you can replace content in existing scenes.)

  • To add new scenes, you have to select "CREATE NEW"

Select PLAYLIST in the Videowall Type
  • Select Schedule so that you can schedule the content for a longer period.

Add multiple scenes in order to upload content
  • It is mandatory to have the cropping of any content done in 9 tiles (for 3x3 videowall) before you go to these steps.

  • You can observe that the media list shows content numbered as per the tiles of the videowall. Kindly please match the tiles with respective content file.

  • You can have multiple scenes created beforehand so that you can change or update content.

  • If you have lesser content but later on you are going to add more then repeat the same content in sequence in progressive scenes.

  • The total number of scenes you create should not exceed 23 hours and 59 minutes limit

  • Click next after completing the mapping of content in all the scenes.

  • Now it is time to map the players with respective content tile. Please note to name your players (videowall panels) in such a way that it becomes extremely easy for you to map at this point.

  • The mapping of the screens (panels/players) is to be done only in one of the scenes.

  • Once the mapping is completed, click on Create New and you will see that the content starts getting uploaded on the screens.

  • Every time you restart the screen, just click on the reload button in the Status column to redistribute the last saved content.
